Frequently Asked    Questions

Session Structure

We meet with families primarily online, but you’re welcome to request a phone call if that’s easier for you. You’ll meet with one or two members of the Jumble & Sense team for both the introductory call and the 60‑minute strategy session.

Family Participation

Our sessions are for parents and caregivers. You’re welcome to join on your own or with another family member who supports your child at home.

Consent Form

Before we begin, we ask families to complete a short consent form. This form confirms that you understand how our sessions work, what information you’re choosing to share with us, and how we use that information to support your child. It also gives us permission to review any documents you provide, such as report cards, IPPs, or assessments. The consent form is straightforward, and you can complete it online before your first session.

Choice of Packages

Every family starts with our main package. This gives you the introductory call, intake form, and 60‑minute  session, which together help us understand your child and give you practical support right away.

After that, you can add more: a more detailed written report, a follow‑up session to review updates, school‑advocacy support, or a deeper walkthrough of diagnoses and assessments. These support packages are completely flexible and can be requested  within a year of the main package.

Starting without Reports

You don’t need any formal assessments to get started. We begin with your perspective and your child’s everyday experiences.

Following the consultation, we will send you a Google form with some questions pertaining to your child specifically. These answers and our initial meeting will be enough information for us to provide insight and recommendations to you.

If your child has a psycho‑educational assessment, diagnosis, or other formal reports, we may ask you to share them so we can understand the full picture. We review the key information to help you make sense of your child’s profile. For families who want a more thorough, step‑by‑step walkthrough of these documents, we can offer optional  consultations that provide a deeper explanation and clear next steps for home and school.

Sharing Information

We encourage you to share strategy summaries with teachers and family members to help you advocate for your child's needs effectively.

Collaboration with Other Professionals

After you complete the main package and sign the consent forms, we can collaborate with your child’s school, doctor, or other professionals whenever you’re ready. This support is part of our follow‑up package, and families often begin by adding a written report so they have a clear summary to share. Once that foundation is in place, we can connect with your child’s team to help everyone move forward together.
